About us

atelier now/here is an artist collective in Kyoto, providing services that are specialized in photography and moving images through the use of our artistic thoughts and vision. 
We also generate ideas, concept-making and instill unique artistic perspectives to branding projects for our clients.

Our clients include creative professionals, such as architects, art directors and designers. We also provide our service to companies from news media, art & culture publishers, design hotels, lifestyle brands to entrepreneurs worldwide.

We also work with project partners in different creative fields.

atelier now/hereは、京都を拠点にしたアーティスト・コレクティブとして、写真を主としたクライアントワークを提供しています。クライアントへのブランディングプロジェクトにおいては、アーティストの視点と思考を駆使して、アイデアやコンセプトの段階から関わり、撮影を行っています。

クライアントには、建築家、アートディレクター、デザイナーなど、創造的な方々が名を連ねており、更にはニュースメディア、アート＆カルチャー出版社、デザインホテル、ライフスタイルブランドから起業家まで、世界中の様々なクライアントにサービスを提供しています。また、写真以外にもさまざまなクリエイティブ分野のプロジェクトパートナーと協働して活動を行っています。

  • Yuna Yagi

    ARTIST, FOUNDER, PHOTOGRAPHER and ART DIRECTOR

    Yuna is an artist who also works as a photographer with a contemplative sense. With her architectural practice in background, she works with many architects as well as entrepreneurs, artists, designers and editors, and her photographs have been widely featured in publications in both Japan and abroad.

    Graduated from Parsons School of the Arts, New York, 2004.
    Using visually jarring two to three-dimensional works and installations, she pursues the truth of things through the experience of the act of 'seeing'.

     Major exhibitions include Pola Museum Annex 'NOWHERE' (2018), 'BLANC/BLACK' (2019), KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival 'The Records of Seeds' (2021), √K Contemporary (2022), etc.

    八 木 夕 菜 Yuna YAGI

    2004年 ニューヨーク・パーソンズ美術大学建築学部卒業。現在は京都を拠点に活動。視覚を揺さぶる平面や立体作品、インスタレーションを用い、「見る」という行為の体験を通して物事の真理を追求する。

    主な展覧会に、Pola Museum Annex 銀座「NOWHERE」(2018)、「BLANC/BLACK」(2019)、KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭「種覚ゆ/The Records of Seeds」(2021)、√K Contemporary「視/覚の偏/遍在」(2022)など。「KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭」ポートフォリオ・レビュー 最優秀ハッセルブラッド賞 (2016) 受賞、パリ国際現代写真アートフェア、FOTOFEVER (2017) 招待作家として選出。金沢21世紀美術館に作品所蔵（2022）

  • Tomoko Hayashi

    ARTIST, PHOTOGRAPHER, ART DIRECTOR

    Tomoko works as a photographer for lifestyle magazines, restaurants, chefs and Japanese artisans such as bamboo craftsmen, woodworkers, ceramicists, confectioners and textile artists. She is also a contemporary artist working and exhibiting worldwide.

    Completed a Master's degree at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Works on the theme of intimacy and relationships. Exhibitions include: 'Touch me' (2005), Victoria & Albert Museum; 'Skin of Contemporary Art' (2007), National Museum of Art, Osaka; 'Stance or Distance?' (2015), Contemporary Art Museum; Kumamoto, Zuiunan 'Reweaving the Rainbow' (2021), etc.



    林智子 Tomoko HAYASHI

    2004年ロンドン大学セントラル・セント・マーティン ズ・カレッジ・オブ・アート・アンド・デザイン修士課程修了。 主な展覧会に「Touch me」（ヴィクトリア＆アルバート美術館、ロンドン、2005）「現代美術の皮膚」（国立国際美術館、大阪、2007）「sweet memory」（京都芸術センター、2011）「STANCE or DISTANCE？わたしと世界をつなぐ距離」（熊本市現代美術館、2015）、「Taoyuan Arts×Technology」 （タオユアン・アート・センター、台湾、2018）「Microwave New Media Arts Festival」（香港シティホール、2019）「TAKUMI CRAFT CONNECTION」（建仁寺両足院、京都、2019）、「Ethereal Beings」（Farmoon、京都、2020）, ｢虹の再織｣（瑞雲庵、京都、2021 )など。
